About Us

Our family's passion for jamón began in the 1970s when we lived in El Puerto de Santa María in southern Spain. Every bar and restaurant we visited featured a display of jamones hanging from the ceiling, filling the room with the aroma of cured ham. Paper thin slices of Serrano or Ibérico ham seemed to accompany every meal. The people of Spain consume more ham per person than anywhere else in the world, and the reason is the addictive flavor of these beautifully cured hams.

In 1998, Serrano hams were finally permitted in the U.S. We shipped some of the very first Serrano hams to customers that year, working out of our family garage. In 2007, working out of a modern warehouse this time, we shipped the first Ibérico hams to reach America’s shores. We now have a USDA inspected facility where we slice and package imported Jamón Serrano and Ibérico, providing you with the freshest ham in the US. Jamon.com is our showcase for Spain’s famous hams. Working in conjunction with our sister business, La Tienda, we warehouse our hams in temperature controlled facilities and package them to arrive in top condition. All whole hams are packed with detailed storage and slicing instructions.
